Through the square window by happypat

Through the square window

Harry & I have been out for lunch to some farming friends of ours who live near Kendal.
This is the rather wet view through one of their windows.
You can see a few of their sheep, a couple of their young bulls, a Landrover & the veg garden all looking rather miserable in the rain.

There was much grumbling about the weather & the fact that two of us three couples hadn't got their third crop silage in yet because of the weather. Harry & I were rather glad we had retired!

A very hectic morning this morning with two couples all down at once all wanting completely different breakfasts. They all sat talking & we were itching to get cleared up before we had to go out.

Going to give commenting a miss tonight as I'm pretty tired tonight.

Three good things:
1. Friends to grumble with!
2. Hearing about a trip down the Danube.
3. A good roast diner not made by me!
In spite the dismal weather -- a lovely country scene with the dry stone wall as seen here through their square window So lovely to go out to some friends and have a proper home made roast dinner without havig to lift a finger ! !

Lovely to have a wee break to meet up with your friends. Sounds like the weather for the farmers is as fickle there as it is here!

A nice view, even in the rain! What are the red flowers, do you know?

Nice solid window frame - doesn't look as if it opens - so just a picture window - a view of the lovely stone wall and the farmland beyond!

That does look grey, but I can imagine the view is stunning in better weather.

At first sight I thought that you had a shot from NZ.. can be sure that when farmers get together there is alot of discussion on the weather ,.

@louannwarren I didn't really look what the flowers were Lou Ann but have a feeling they may have been geraniums.

nice view Pat. Hope the weather treats us kindly when we are up that way in about 3 weeks. I thought of you whilst we were staying in a lovely B and B up near John O Groats last week. Where are you going to in Scotland. I think it has become one of my most favourite places. Just love all the rugged scenery, little villages and harbours.
