Our Lady of Perpetual Succour & St. Cummin's, Morar.
This lovely place of worship sits on the side of Loch Morar near Mallaig.
Such a pretty church with its beautiful stone turret, equally lovely inside with a roof resembling an upturned boat.
Mass was being celebrated when we peeked in so we went a sat in the back pew, a small half hour of quiet peace.
Last time I was in there was as a small child, we went every Sunday while on holiday.
Talking of churches I have been to a funeral today in the village. Not very inspiring I'm afraid with no organ music, no input by family & very drab celebrant we could hardly hear! Sad.
Three good things:
1. I put in my funeral book for family not to let that chap do my funeral over my dead body!!
2. Professional Masterchef start tonight!
3. Gloves on today!
Lovely old stone church - been around for a few years - well - probably your life time!.... or more! (I just read 1889!) A grey day here but inside it would always be the same!
