Garstang indoor market. On a Thursday the whole of the High Street has stalls down the side selling all the usual stuff. Bedding, colothes, tools, carpets, hats, plants & the famous second hand book stall to name some.
The stalls are only out on a Thursday unlike the indoor market which as you can see is openfour days a week.
The chap with the little dog was trying to control it as it was barking loudly at the poor lady buying meat. He must be a vegan!!
Not a brilliant photo by any means but better than nothing!
Three good things:
1. I payed a visit to Garstang library this afternoon. I haven't been for a few months as I use my kindle or BorrowBox if I can. It's strange I looked at all those books & was really flummoxed, I couldn't remember any of the authors I liked or if I had read any of the books but it was nice to browse.
2. Hats to cover your ears, I hate this strong cold wind, my ears really ache if they aren't covered up.
3. Supplies in for busy weekend b&b.
Lovely to have the Market Hall open on four days a week . Our Market Hall is also open on for days a week -- it does make all the difference to the town ! Love the little doggy - the wonderful smells from the butcher has got the better of him !!
Such a cold wind here too as I discovered as I popped into the supermarket -- roll on some finer weather !!
So nice to see your local photos. The character of small towns is amazing and no two are just the same.......shopping malls on the other hand....!!!! I've shopped at M&S in Kiev and Cairo and surrounded by many of the high street names.... sometimes wonder where you are!
