Washing time

Little Gus washing his paws in the sunshine!

We have been to the cinema this afternoon. The Geurnsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society film.
Was Ok but it took us a bit to get into the story, slightly confusing at the start, would have helped if I had kept awake more!
I was up at 6.45 doing breakfasts.

Three good things:
1. Number two son Anthonys birthday today.
2. First carpet cleaned next door & the painter is coming tomorrow.
3. William & Erin have been to the top of Blackpool Tower.
So sweet. We read the book, not sure about the film as it has not had good reviews.

@quietpurplehaze Oh that's interesting Hazel, I must say I was disappointed but it bucked up a bit half way...I thought it was us!

@julzmaioro No I missed Peter Rabbit unfortunately. My friend was in Oz & I dont tend to bother unless it's something I really want to see.

@beryl ha ha Beryl, we suggested Smokey as we had a grey cat called Smokey, not original enough they said! He was nearly a Colin!

@sarah19 if you never got to the end don't bother with the film, Geurnsey looked beautiful mind you but a muddled film. Lily James was excellent in it though.

@snowy not sure but I would say the book is betterthey usually are but the film has lovely scenery but slightly muddies especially at the beginning, it improves as it goes on.

I read the book and thought I would like the film.... learnt it wasn't shot on Guernsey though - some beach in England. The landing of the plane part. Sweet Gus photo - their new part of the house?

I think books are always better than the movies but I still enjoyed the movie. I must be easy to please.

Interested in your opinion on the film - I had wondered if it would be good, having read the book. Might give it a miss!

@casablanca I wouldn't say it was bad at all but I was disappointed. Much better as it progressed & by the latter third I was enjoying it
