I woke up early this morning around 4.40am & saw these tractor lights in the field below our house.
They had been drilling maze all night, not so goood for Steph & Craig in the house just to the left of here. Their bedroom faces onto the fields so I hope they weren't woken up by headlights on the ceiling all night!
Couldn't help but notice the pretty early morning sky as dawn broke.
I was out in my dressing gown taking this shot!
I went back to bed!!
Three good things:
1. A lovely special Mothers Day card from NZ, thank you Ant, Jo & the boys.
2. The rather strange sight of three lamas being led on leads through St Michael's village today.
3. I called in with our SIL card & present today, all at work but the radio was on for Gus. He came tearing downstairs when he heard me open the front door, pleased to see someone to play with!
Happy Birthday Garth. ๐
@louannwarren It is hard work Lou Ann but a way of life that most have been brought up with so think nothing of it! As you're working at home you can always pop inside for a mug of tea. Not so good working all hours away from home!
That wonderful sky makes you feel good to be alive ! and the excitement of seeing the early workers - an extra bonus !
Isn't it great to be able to go out in your dressing gown and then go back to bed - the delight of being retired ! Harry's potatoes are coming on nicely - I can not recognise the other seedlings , but no doubt you will have a wonderful plot of fresh produce anon !
@beryl he only has potatoes in so far Beryl as far as I know. It looks like he has something growing on the left but they are those controversial Leylanddi that I hate showing over the top of some plastic crates he puts over the shoots if frost likely.
What a lovely image. I always wonder what the neighbours think when my son works long hours on the tractor. But then I think โoh wellโ itโs only a couple of nights disturbed sleep in a year for the surrounding neighbours!
@dide I think it wouldn't bother us whomare used to the country Dianne, & the maize is going in late this year, all farmers are in catch up but some Round here are not quite as understanding perhaps.
It is rather light at 5.10am! I woke where we are camping - in a golf course park - at 4.45 when someone drove in - completely in the dark! How very weird! Sounds like Gus is a people cat!

A lovely capture of a hard worker.
