We went to Lytham today in all the wind & rain.
Seasalt have recently opened a branch in the town so we thought we would take a look as it’s a favourite brand of mine. I actually had on a sweater & my winter coat today both from Seasalt so I was a good advert!
A gorgeous shop it didn’t disappoint & I bought a couple of presents. We will be back when number 1 DIL comes over from NZ mid December.
Three good things:
1. A toasted teacake & hot chocolate for lunch in Zest.
2. Alex (number 1 granddaughter) rang the other night, she & Simon are coming to stay for just over two weeks next June on way back from Country & Western Festival in Nashville.
3. Lydia ( number 2 granddaughter) called in for a quick chat on her way to Manchester for her very last day at Uni tomorrow.
@susiemc No it doesn’t Sue, I thought that when I first saw it but they said it was just stock room, looks impressive though doesn’t it! This one only opened in July.
@susiemc Yes Joules & Fat Face too Sue. We went in the Fat Face shop after Seasalt but I do prefer SS, Harry likes Fat Face the best! Very wearable clothes!
@happypat Yes, Fatface, I like that too and have a few things from there. I also have a few Weirdfish things. Martha's very impressed that I have things from there :)
Looks very Christmassy.. I have done a bit of a cheat this year and done lots online.. so I miss this.. good to hear some of your kiwi family will be over for Christmas.. 🎅
@julzmaioro Yes looking forward to them coming...the ones you met! Online is so convenient but I had to go in store to try on different sizes & guess what would fit!
So many different shops to ours! It must be successful to open a new branch when so many shops and banks are closing their branches here!
Goodness - it seems only yesterday that Lydia was deciding which university to go to!
@maggiemae Yes doesn’t it just Maggie, three & a half years she’s been there, graduates in January. Banks closing with you too, they want us all online the monkeys! No good fir communities & towns to have banks close! The UK public shop a lot online these days, me included to my shame, the high street is in peril. Business rates are far to high too.
@jgpittenger might be more expensive in NZ, I bought two lovely long sleeved T shirts, thick, for £40 or sort of $80 mark. Great quality, they never wear out!
Nice shot. Our local Wilkies shop stocks Seasalt and I was actually browsing through some of the stuff today - it's really nice. I succumbed to a Barbour sweater however, that I've had my eye on for some time!
@jamibann Well why not we deserve it! I have a sort of grey felted Barbour top with a half zip, I have had it fir ages & it still looks good! Quality always lasts!
