Christmas Shopping! by happypat

Christmas Shopping!

We went to Lytham today in all the wind & rain.
Seasalt have recently opened a branch in the town so we thought we would take a look as it’s a favourite brand of mine. I actually had on a sweater & my winter coat today both from Seasalt so I was a good advert!
A gorgeous shop it didn’t disappoint & I bought a couple of presents. We will be back when number 1 DIL comes over from NZ mid December.

Three good things:
1. A toasted teacake & hot chocolate for lunch in Zest.
2. Alex (number 1 granddaughter) rang the other night, she & Simon are coming to stay for just over two weeks next June on way back from Country & Western Festival in Nashville.
3. Lydia ( number 2 granddaughter) called in for a quick chat on her way to Manchester for her very last day at Uni tomorrow.

One of my favourites too. We have one in Hereford but yours looks bigger. Does it have an upstairs?

@susiemc No it doesn’t Sue, I thought that when I first saw it but they said it was just stock room, looks impressive though doesn’t it! This one only opened in July.

I like Seasalt, though they can be a it expensive! Love it when they have a sale!
November 29th, 2018
@happypat Yes it does look impressive. I always like new stores. Are you a fan of Joules too? That's my other favourite.

Bep
Never heard of Seasalt. Not sure if they have shops in the NL.
November 29th, 2018
Looks very Christmassy - and nice you found some things you liked.
November 29th, 2018
@susiemc Yes Joules & Fat Face too Sue. We went in the Fat Face shop after Seasalt but I do prefer SS, Harry likes Fat Face the best! Very wearable clothes!
November 29th, 2018
@gijsje No they do t Bep, it’s a Cornish company but sure you would like them You can buy online!

A new name to me, nicely captured
November 29th, 2018
@casablanca we got money off today, I went for the two long sleeved tees £40 for two, great to split up for Christmas.
November 29th, 2018
@huvesaker tend to go large for size, I always take a smaller size. I think sizes go up to perhaps 18 but definitely 16 UK
November 29th, 2018
@dide All very Christmassy now, trees are going up & it’s dark early so very festive!
November 29th, 2018
@happypat Yes, Fatface, I like that too and have a few things from there. I also have a few Weirdfish things. Martha's very impressed that I have things from there :)

I was dragged in to a Sea Salt store while we were on holiday. Horrifying experience.
November 29th, 2018
@graemestevens Ha ha Graeme, wimp! Harry quite enjoyed as there were seats!
November 29th, 2018
@julzmaioro Yes looking forward to them coming...the ones you met! Online is so convenient but I had to go in store to try on different sizes & guess what would fit!
November 29th, 2018
@susiemc Yo7 have the sMe taste as me then Sue....I like tunics & leggings or nice tops & trousers!
November 29th, 2018
@carolmw Ohh you haven’t heard of it....very nice wearable everyday clothes, they have fantastic raincoats Carol.
November 29th, 2018
Looks a lovely shop
November 29th, 2018
I think shopping (not window shopping!) is a good activity on a rainy day especially if lunch is included!
November 29th, 2018
@quietpurplehaze I’m not a good window shopper, if I see I want to buy & I never go into town unless I need something!
November 29th, 2018
@mave It is Mave, spacious inside with lots of lovely stuff for presents ie socks, necklaces etc as well as clothes.
November 29th, 2018
@happypat

Ditto!
November 29th, 2018
So many different shops to ours! It must be successful to open a new branch when so many shops and banks are closing their branches here!
Goodness - it seems only yesterday that Lydia was deciding which university to go to!
November 29th, 2018
@maggiemae Yes doesn’t it just Maggie, three & a half years she’s been there, graduates in January. Banks closing with you too, they want us all online the monkeys! No good fir communities & towns to have banks close! The UK public shop a lot online these days, me included to my shame, the high street is in peril. Business rates are far to high too.
November 29th, 2018
@happypat I see Seasalt in available in NZ at Ballintynes @maggiemae looks like nice stuff...
November 29th, 2018
Looks a fabulous shop
November 29th, 2018
@julzmaioro ooh I’m amazed! You will like it!
November 29th, 2018
@julzmaioro I'll have to investigate when I next go to Christchurch!
November 29th, 2018
How delightful that your grandchildren like to call and spend time with you! This shop looks lovely.
November 30th, 2018
@happypat I will but think I will have to go for the scarves and socks...
November 30th, 2018
I like how the light on top and bottom make the white balance so different
November 30th, 2018
Great looking store
November 30th, 2018
@jgpittenger might be more expensive in NZ, I bought two lovely long sleeved T shirts, thick, for £40 or sort of $80 mark. Great quality, they never wear out!
November 30th, 2018
Nice shot. Our local Wilkies shop stocks Seasalt and I was actually browsing through some of the stuff today - it's really nice. I succumbed to a Barbour sweater however, that I've had my eye on for some time!
November 30th, 2018
@jamibann Well why not we deserve it! I have a sort of grey felted Barbour top with a half zip, I have had it fir ages & it still looks good! Quality always lasts!
