Some people haven’t a clue about parking!
Was shocked when I saw this car parked like this. The guy in the white van was pipping his horn for ages. In the end the driver came strolling out of the butchers down the road, he seemed quite unconcerned! This is a busy one way system with cars going along all the time.
Three good things:
1. Shopping all in for b&b’s this weekend.
2. Fresh raspberries & blueberries.
3. Maple syrup for my porridge!
I hate to say it, but most people know perfectly well when they are double parked or taking a liberty with parking. Problem is that they often don't care about other road users, or rather they care more about themselves. Personally I think it's a total lack of respect for others. Rant over. ;-) Lovely capture of this pretty street, despite the naughty parker!

I was shocked that someone would have the gall to park like that! There is quite a problem in Garstang with cars parking badly. On the High Street it’s quite narrow & there are certain places for parking in the wider bits but you always get some fool parking in the pinch spots so the double decker bus can’t get through....it causes bedlam & we all stand around & wait for the guilty party to slink back & move!
Yep I'm with @jamibann just as bad over here ... though I don't think our streets are as narrow as your's ... I get het up about people that park in mobility car parks ... without any thought for the people that really need them ... selfish ...
This idiot was lucky he didn't get runover by the big truck ...
I got a parking fine in the post two days ago. It was a mistake and Ray challenged it. It was quickly sorted by Aldi as we were entitled to free parking as we shopped there. 'Parking Eye' was not v efficient!
When we were away we went into a country petrol station where there were only two bowsers. A car was at the second bowser so blocked us from getting to them. We thought initially that someone who was with him was paying for the petrol and would be out shortly, but nobody emerged. In the end I got out of the car, tapped on his window and asked him to move. He was just texting on his phone. This is my rant over too. @jamibann
@quietpurplehaze Ooh Hazel, a parking ticket from Aldi.....glad it was sorted out! I never knew they had cameras! I never actually park at Aldi as Booths are next door & everyone parks there even when shopping in the town. You have three hours parking free so we just pop through the traitors gate we call it into Aldi!
@julzmaioro I like the way you can park in your towns Julz, I actually think this guy thinks he’s in NZ as he’s parked slotted in like they do in your country. As you can see we park one behind the other on the streets such as this one.
I'm surprised there wasn't a fracas - or a bit of road rage! John does like to tell people what the situation is but they seem to take it alright. He confronted a guy the other day who opened his car door wide without looking and we had to veer quickly to avoid it! The driver just said , sorry!
It happens everywhere I'm afraid. I was stuck in a car park recently...
a selfish woman with a small child parked at the exit to the car park while she went in to the Pizza shop nearby......the person parked next to me arrived to go away....I told her where the driver was and she did the needful!!! Unbelievable and there was another space further in!
@maggiemae@sarah19@dh I was amazed how little fuss there was to be honest, the driver of the truck never did anything....I think they are used to it in Garstang! There was only nosey me with my camera phone out!
