The farmers who bought these fields off the guy we sold them to are such good farmers.
They had a short ley crop of grass early in the year which they took off for a silage crop. Immediately the plough was out & they have never stopped working the whole 196 acres until it’s ready for planting the maize seed today.
Such a contrast to the farmer who bought the land off us....he didn’t care a toss, it grieved us to see it go downhill.
These people are in a big way though with a staff of fifteen & lots of expensive machines. They use the land solely for feeding their 500 plus cows which are on another farm.
Three good things:
1. I sat outside today with my book.
2. A bunch of tulips for the kitchen table.
3. We are on YouTube & Rightmove.....first day today we are official!
Knew this one was yours when I saw the whirligig washing line and Harry's neat and tidy raised bed garden plot ! Such a beautiful landscape to look out on - in between reading your book ! Make the most of that view while you have got it !
Lovely to see and so lovely to move on knowing 'your land' is in good care.
Now must go and check out Rightmove....I did ask Allan if he fancied a move! 😄😄😄
Glad to see that you are happy with at least one of your sales. It's terribly hard to let go of something you sell and twice as hard if the person doesn't care for it as you would have. Nice picture! All looks very diligently worked.
Nice to know the land is being looked after, your home looks lovely online, immaculate, that easy chair by the aga has been a useful prop for your lovely photos. Good luck with the sale x
