The main street in the small town of Longridge. It’s on the side of the fell so this street is quite hilly.
It was the annual sports & festival day yesterday so all the flags were flying. Very unfortunate as it was terrible weather but today it’s lovely, such a shame.
My kids all went to high school here & Cathy works at the Foot Room two days a week here. Our DIL was also a practice nurse here before they emigrated to NZ.
We have been to a large garden centre neat Clitheroe looking at kitchens, furniture etc. A very nice meal too.
Three good things:
1. No cooking tonight.
2. Lovely thank you flowers from NZ.
3. I stayed in bed until 9am finishing my brilliant book this morning!
Lovely! Exciting looking forward for kitchens etc!
And finishing a book is something I must try doing.....did get quite a lot further on the train this weekend. 😁
So many small towns around! Must be nice to choose one to visit for a coffee or a specialty shop!
We stay in bed till well after 9am, Pat - me looking at 365 and John playing some game on his iPad! No guilt though I must admit answering the door in your dressing gown at 10.30 is a bit over the top!
@maggiemae Ha ha yes it takes a bit of guts to do that maggie but who cares specially in winter. I think it’s just a farming thing on my part....so used to getting up early plus Harry is a very early riser so it’s half his day gone by the time I get downstairs on occasions! I am learning to do exactly as I want during the day though, if I want to read my book all day I do!
