I bought this lovely hydrangea today for a friend who is having a patio party tomorrow afternoon!
I’ve never been to a patio party before but it sounds good fun...plenty of food, refreshing drinks, good chat & laughs I hope.
This seemed a suitable present!
Three good things:
1. A morning sitting on the new cocoon chair reading my book & the garden centre this afternoon in the rain.
2. Amazing work on the very interesting Repair Shop TV programme.
3. No need to water as it’s been raining so much over the last few days.
A lovely potted hydrangea - I am sure it will be much appreciated ! Have fun at the Patio Party - should be good !
Mixed weather here sunshine and heavy showers - no chance to sit outside . I also love to watch the Repair Shop programme , amazing what they can repair and restore ! - reminds me so much of my dad who loved to take things apart and restore them !
ooh nice colour! What a lovely gift. Hydrangas don't do so well here...too cold for them and I can't be bothered looking after one inside during the winter...hahaha I have always called them Stewart Grangers after the actor...haha no idea why
@huvesaker I agree too much trouble indoors plus you have enough to cope with when it’s snowing! Stewart Granger now you take me back...would have thought you far too young to know that name!
That's a lovely patio party gift!
I like the idea of a patio party though we need to work on our one! Maybe next summer.
Weve not had any rain for some time.....just our little corner of Scotland seems to have missed it. May need to water plant pots soon!
I love The Repair Shop too. Wasnt the painting refurbishment spectacular!!! But then so were the other items. 😊
Never seen a lime coloured one! Would be just about the colour of the leaves! This one has beautiful big heads of flowers. You 'all will be grateful for the rain....
@maggiemae No this colour was new to me too that’s why I bought it, spent a bit more money than I meant to, just hope a friend who is picking me up has bought a present too or I will feel bad for her, it’s difficult when it’s not a birthday or anything but you can’t go empty handed! If it was in NZ you would take a pudding or something but we don’t tend to do that here.

Sure the patio party will be a riot!! Will no doubt take a photo!

Never heard of a patio party, sounds interesting.
I love Repair Shop too, there are so many talented people on there restoring family heirlooms
Patio Party :) , maybe a posh name for a BBQ, with or without BBQ.
Eating outside Al Fresco with friends sounds lovely
