Harry is on horse minding duty this week.
He has looked after some animals in his time...cows, calves, pigs, hens, cats, dogs, sheep but never a horse before.
Paddy belongs to our lovely neighbour Janet who’s is at a horse event in Leicestershire.
A senior horse, Paddy is about 28 years old but in very good condition. He is on his best behaviour & doing exactly as he’s meant to do thank goodness!
Three good things:
1. A takeaway pizza out of the village tonight.
2. We aren’t going anywhere this weekend thank goodness...it took me ages to get to Garstang this afternoon, so much traffic on the road! Stay at home this bank holiday!
3. A talk going on in the library today...they had moved all the book shelves to make space...great to see it used for all kinds of things!
How libraries have changed since my youth when you hadn’t to even talk!
That's an old horse! But I daresay he likes company and needs food at the right time. Good for Harry!
Libraries - people used to say, "shush' all the time!
Sorry for mass reply...Paddy goes out into the field every morning & back in at night. Harry feeds him & mucks him out so a routine to follow....he goes out & comes in very readily so he’s no problem.
What a nice looking horse. Holiday traffic can be unbelievable here too. You have to go very early or very late, so thankful to be retired, no fighting to get home from the office.
