Brock Aqueduct number 46 by happypat

Brock Aqueduct number 46

On our walk on Sunday we passed over this Aqueduct carrying the Lancaster canal over the River Brock below.
An ingenious idea that always surprises!
I must apologise for the lack of replies to all your lovely comments on my recent photos.
I have been commenting OK but not getting the time to have little chats over your comments which I do like to do!
I read them all of course but life seems to catch up with me a bit in the evening.
I appreciate everyone of your lovely words!

Three good things:
1. I made good responsible use of my oven tonight by cooking my biscuits at the same time as I cooked Toad in the Hole & tomorrow’s sausages for my 7am breakfast!
2. Cleaned the windows inside!
3. Our nephew has been & done some work on the Aga, it’s not running right so fingers crossed it gets hotter than it is now!
Great pov and textures

I feel quite dizzy looking down to both sides , love the textures and the mottled colours in the stone coping ! Such a wonderful piece of engineering ! Seems you have been busy with your cooker to good use - The time and motion fellow must be proud of you ! ha !!

@beryl We have quite a few aqueducts round here with the canal & near the coast so lots of rivers going towards the coast. Amazing structures!

Ancient stones seem to last for centuries! You must be having B&B's to be doing breakfasts at 7am! Yoicks!

Fascinating perspective, it seems to higgledy piggledy yet solid at the same time!
