Another lunch out today at this rather nice country house.
They have this lovely collection of cute llamas.
Another muddle up by me...I am completely all at sea with my list on the calendar. I had the wrong time down so arrived late.....had to leave early before the speaker as I simply couldn’t cope with the heat & noise of people talking.
I think I need a quiet weekend!
Three good things:
1. Watching the rugby games in Japan for World Cup. Very taken with the young Japanese children standing as mascots to each team....they seem to have learnt all the words to the national anthems of the teams they represent.
Typical Japan....attention to detail.
2. Viewers arrived but I will eat my hat if they come back....meant to be down sizing...ours is far too big for downsizing! Made us tidy up again though!
3. The end of Halloween... I can’t stand it!
Ooh Pat it sounds as if you are in a bit of a twizzle ! Perhaps been doing too much - take it easy till you go away , giving mind and body a rest ! A lovely rural scene - so nice to see the llamas - so cute !
@dide@beryl Ha ha well let’s be thankful for small mercies.....I knew as soon as I drove in the place...no one arriving...had to slink in as they served the soup! Yes Beryl you are right, I have been full on this last couple of weeks...time to slow down! Twizzle is a good word!
hahaha you should do as I do...scare everyone who rings the bell..they are going to be there anyway...hahaha you do need a rest this weeken..me too...let's hibernate....
@huvesaker we never get any visitors on Halloween night....too quiet, they would rather go where richer pickings are in the village! I shall hibernate!
I blame the realtor when they bring their clients to a house hat clearly is not what they were thinking about. Realtors here are always trying to get people into houses bigger than they want. I think that is so wrong. I love this lovely scene.
Love the llamas.....we are finding more up in Scotland too.
I'm using my phone calendar more than ever as there is so much going on day by day.
But count down to your travel day will not be missed! Take care.
@jgpittenger oh you will love them Jane....all wind round a true history in which ever country the story is set. I read the first one around the time the games were on in Rio so I found it fascinating. I envy you with them all to read & we are on the penultimate one!
I noticed the young japanese children with the rugby players too - and that they knew the words! I've got to the state now where I can't stand a lot of noise - think its partly old age and partly that its so quiet at home. These animals are llamas - not alpacas?
Just looked at the Sunday lunch menu at Singleton House - minted yorkshire pudding with roasted lamb - yum!
Yes, typical!
Have a quiet weekend!
Looks as though we both need a quiet weekend. Hope you are able to relax.
