We had been to Kinloch for fish & chips & had a bit of a ride round to show me some different places in NZ. We passed this deer farm so Ant called in to see if the kids could stop & have a look.
He was delighted to show us...we had to be very quiet & not startle them.

Sincere thoughts with all those caught up in the terrible volcano tragedy in Whakatane & White Island.
Three good things:
1. I had to return to the garden centre today as I dropped a spike off the solar lights we bought.
No sign of it anywhere we had waked so I’m ashamed to say I just took one off another one!
Wouldn’t have happened if there was sticky tape holding it on plus a bag if some sorts would have been good!
2. While I was there I checked out a tree the same as ours to see the joint in the middle, our is very wobbly! I noticed a button on the joint which popped into a hole as you turned the two parts of the trunk....all sorted now!
3. I have finished my Christmas shopping!
Such a lovely happy shot.
I have been aching for the White Island eruption too - it's rare these days for people to be caught up in such things as early warnings are so good. But, of course, this continually active Lady can be unpredictable. So sorry for the loss of life and injury.
Very tragic episode indeed today and all began so suddenly.
