A walk to check on progress this afternoon. We missed yesterday so it was interesting to see how much they had done over the last two days.
Thrilled at the roof looking so good....they are gradually working their way across the original one....once the tiles are on it will be so much tidier!
Three good things:
1. It’s a Bank Holiday this weekend so three whole days off! I told the builders I begrudged every day they were off....joking of course but meaning it really! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. They laughed! Good job we know them well & they have worked in lots of jobs for us over the years.
2. Harry is enjoying the snooker & is resting his hip at the same time!
3. I did some ironing this morning, the first time for a long time! We don’t seem to be wearing clothes that need ironing just now.
4. Our number two son’s birthday today although he had it yesterday in NZ!
Everything that we have done here I watch it impatiently and think the guys should just stay so I know how you feel. Isn't it fun to see what you have imagined come to life?
The builders having three days off must be frustrating for you but they seem to be doing such a good job and hard working so I think they deserve the break.
So good to view the roof from afar !! If the weather forecast is anything to go by the builders are better at having a hols !! - Nice to see the trees coming to life as they come into leaf !
A good far-off veiw - is this all your garden? Yes I'm hooked on the snooker too! I've been to Sheffield a couple of times and even appeared briefly (a few seconds!) on TV one year!
@busylady Yes our grandson Jack once played that snooker table in the opposite building where they commentate....it was on TV while they were recording...he did quite well! He’s a Ronnie O’Sullivan fan. He was at Uni in Sheffield so was down there a lot during the championships. Yes all our garden.
@maggiemae The trees are just the young shoots that have come up while the garden was overgrown maggie but we left them in as we want more trees down this end. A bit too close together really but we will see how they go.
Loved your 4 things! Such a nice big garden at your new place! Here construction crews don’t observe very many of our bank holidays. They work from sunup to sundown at least 6 days a week.
