I popped in to Garstang this afternoon. Market day & of course good old Dereks book stall has got bigger & bigger!
Jack has been helping us out a few boxes up in the loft. There are some things that no matter if you don’t want them anymore you are obliged to keep.
Remember all those black & white family photos on the wall at the farm, they are all up there, no room on the walls here but have to keep them!
Three good things:
1. The blinds are up!! No skulking behind a screen now!
2. Two Danish pastries with custard in them!
3. The very plant I was looking for, a Japanese anemone arrived today as a house warming gift…thank you Ruth.
Lots of books to choose from there.. Yes you can't chuck out photos..
Love Japanese anemones.. I never have any luck with them.. so hope yours thrives..
You have to have a big space for Japanese anemones, they spread everywhere! I've lost my pink one and I'm hoping to get one from a friend. I do love them at this time of year.
Your new rooms would look so good with the blinds down - makes the space so personal! It takes a year or two for Japanese Anenomes to spread. I think they appreciate a bit of watering to start them off!
@onewing No Babs, I have just got rid of two large boxes! No room now so I have just kept my favourites. I do all my reading on kindle or the library these days!
@maggiemae Will remember that maggie thanks, it’s looking lots brighter this morning after a long soak in a bucket! Will plant it out later. Yes blonds we’re fab last night….much cosier!
So they set this up every month for a few market days then pack it all up till next month?! Oh my! I love your 3 things. I cannot throw away old photographs either.
@louannwarren It’s on every Thursday Lou Ann. They go other places the rest of the week, sometimes it won’t be worth unpacking their stuff if it’s a wet day & no one about.
Love Japanese anemones.. I never have any luck with them.. so hope yours thrives..
