I walked to the surgery this afternoon to put our prescriptions in. Couldn’t help notice the leaves fluttering down.
Spent all morning in Blackpool Victoria hospital as Harry had an appointment for his Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. Might not be that now but something called Dupuytrens Contracture….he has to go for a nerve test on both hands next.
Three good things:
1. The hospital was so busy & the consultant had a cold…we were so glad to get out of the place.
2. I had the appointment papers in my hand as we came out if the house. I made the mistake of going to the postbox, took out the post, put the rubbish stuff in the bin & only realised I had thrown the hospital stuff in there too when we got to the hospital! . All OK they let us in!
3. I lost the car in the car park in our muddle up….found it eventually!
I've had 4 operations for Dupuytrens contracture! Both little fingers, twice. One wa a skin graft. All were fairly successful but didn't completely fix the problem. However, I can still play the organ so not all bad. Yes Autumn is definitly visible now
Ooh Pa t what a day ! - didn't you feel like going home and starting all over again ! Autumn is certainly stirring the leaves in your photo ! Horrible not to be able to find your car in the carpark - a real nightmare isn't it !
Lovely line up of tree's.. but wouldn't want to rack the leaves up.. Friend just had an op for that condition.. happy with result now has to have the other hand done.
Hate it when you loose your car!
@julzmaioro Oh interesting Julz…it seems to be more common than we thought, my friend Winifred’s husband has it too I heard today! Good to know it went well.
@busylady wow you too Judith….how very interesting…I had never heard of it before & when I told our daughter she knew of it too. Harry’s is the middle finger on his left hand but from first finger going all down the thumb on the right hand. Like a cord. Glad all went well, hope ours does too!
@beryl I always forget to check where I’ve parked it…wandered around up the wrong area for a bit then eventually saw it sticking out…mine is quite a long car. Relief! Sometimes I think it’s stolen…I never learn my lesson!
So many leaves making that golden carpet alongside the road! If you use your car key auto opener, the car might beep? I think ours does - it flashes lights I know!
Nice line up of trees. Autumn is beginning to kick in in your part of the world.
What a day you have had. Hospitals aren't the place to be at the moment are they.
Luckily David had most of his serious ailments sorted before Covid hit in our area again. I have told him that now he has to behave himself as he is running out of lives. He is much better now with his bladder infection now the antibiotics have kicked in.
@maggiemae Yes mine does maggie but I was in completely the wrong place to begin with….it helps if the spaces are numbered but they aren’t & we were hassled over the missing paperwork! 😳
@quietpurplehaze We have never heard of it Hazel….Harry has a really pronounced cord pulling his finger on one hand & the thumb on the other but the worst thing is the numbness & pain.
I'm really sorry Harry has it so severely. Mine was just discovered by a GP treating me for something else and manifests itself at the base of the third finger of each hand- that was years ago and it has not changed since. Sending good wishes to Harry.
