Buried treasure

A gardening afternoon.
I am a very reluctant gardener, in fact I have to come clean & say I hate it!
I love to look at a beautiful garden & I probably would like looking after an established garden….strolling round wearing a sun hat looking elegant with a pair of secateurs dead heading.
It’s not going to happen here!
Harry mowed the lawn & I did some heavy weeding….it looks lovely & tidy but glad I haven’t to do it tomorrow!!
Ooh forgot to tell you these are crab apples looking pretty but just falling off the tree….perhaps I should make some crab apple jelly! 🤔🤔😨

Three good things:
1. Geese flying over in their V shape.
2. Lots of plane vapour trails….some must be going away on holiday!
3. We have ordered our new rug.

Now those apples appeared to be so lovely ,till you mentioned crab-apples !! - nice for jelly or even wine ! Made some wine very many moons ago -- nice !! Been a lovely day here too Spent part of the afternoon watching G doing the work but wished I could do it myself !

Crab apples are so lovely to look at! I love nice gardens too, but unlike my mum, I’m not a keen gardener. Ours are mostly shrubs mulched with bark for easy care. I do have a couple of small vege gardens that I enjoy.

On your recommendation I have just finished reading I Am Pilgrim. It is not the type of book I would normally read, but I couldn’t put it down. Scary yet fascinating and enlightening.
