Met up with friends this lunchtime for our exchange of Christmas presents.
We haven’t been able to meet up all together for over two years mostly because of the covid but also because of other circumstances.
We so enjoyed ourselves & the support we get from each at all times is immeasurable. I know I could count on these friends for anything.
Three good things:
1. We treated ourselves to three courses as it’s Christmas!
2. Laughing.
3. Harry has had his letter from the hospital for next step of a nerve test for his hand problem.
So lovely to meet up with friends - you all looks happy and contented ! after your meal ! Good to hear that Harry has the next app re his hand I also had a letter today re shoulder scan - but not till end of Jan - the consultant had said an urgent scan -in few days or weeks ! never mind - the hosps are getting overburdened again - so am grateful of a booked date for the scan .
@beryl Well you have a date Beryl, thank goodness for that. . Harry has to ring for an appointment in the next two weeks or they will presume he doesn’t need it….I will be in the phone on Monday! The actual appointment if course could be anytime down the line!! 😳
How lovely that you are able to catch up again. Things are slowly getting back to normal again here with restrictions due to ease further on the 15 December but with the Omicron variant lurking and increasing in numbers I wonder what will happen over Christmas.
@onewing It’s all cranking up again here Babs but I’m thinking no one seems to know if Omicron is more dangerous than the original virus so I’m guessing all will be well in the end. Hoping too of course!!
So lovely. I always look for your pearls, they are your signature piece of jewelry. Aren’t friends wonderful?! My friends husband is going to physical therapy for his numb fingers. He says it is helping.
Nothing like girlfriends! I did the same last night…at someone’s house because we are too wary of going out. Our public mask mandate starts in Monday (I have been wearing mine all along in public), and our hospitals are no longer doing elective surgeries.
@louannwarren Thank you Lou Ann….I feel undressed unless I am wearing my pearls!! That’s interesting about your friends numb hands…. @bkp The government is terrified that the Omicron virus will fill our hospitals & they won’t be able to cope, fingers crossed it will turn out that it’s a weaker model & we will be ok. Operations are very behind over all this with long waiting lists!
