Looking good for the wood burner in for Christmas!
Phil & Luke came this afternoon & laid the stone base ready for the next stage.
Just hoping the wood burner fitting guy will come in the next few days.
They also fitted the guttering on the shed.
Harry & I have just come back from the village as there was a carol concert starting out from the community centre followed by mulled wine & mince pies.
I wore my Christmas headband but all in vain…..around fifteen to twenty people there but nobody in charge so we walked home.
Disappointing although it was hard work going out after a busy day.
There were lots of cars & people in the chip shop & two pubs but no singing!
Never mind we had a walk out & it was a lovely clear evening.
A good thing…I sold my bike today….a lovely polite lady from Kendal. No rudeness from her & no haggling, she paid full price! I was happy to mark as SOLD on market place!
Oh what a shame after you made the effort. Perhaps it was called off due to the number of covid infections recently. Good news on the woodstove. Fingers crossed 🤞
Exciting seeing the men in to fit your wood burner , Well done re the sale of the bike . A shame about the carol concert . Things are so uncertain again - just read on fb our local Church has cancelled the Children;s Party on Sunday morning due to covid , but their gifts will be given in the Church Service for those that can attend with their parents . And the Carol service will be held on the Church green and not in the Church !! So much nervousness around as the number rise once again !
@busylady@beryl It was weird as the person who put the flyer through our door lives almost opposite & his car was parked outside the community centre but no sign of him & his partner. The house was lit up when we came home…we did wonder if they has set off early down the roads but weren’t hanging about to find out.
So its going to be in the corner - a good place and won't be reflected in the television screen. It will transform the room not that the room needs transformation!
All looking good for the stove then. That will have you all very cosy.
Pity about your Carol singing. We've just heard that ours is cancelled on Monday. Rather disappointing especially for friends who can't get out and who we had planned to sing to, stopping outside their window has always been appreciated in past years.
