I can’t remember where I took this picture, in Dublin I think.
Homelessness specially at this time of the year is a desperate situation.
Anyone who has a warm comfortable home is a king in his castle.
We are all only a few months away from finding ourselves in that very position apparently.
The words here say it all.
Three good things:
1. Warmth.
2. A comfortable dry bed.
3. Food in our tummies.
So very heart-rendering sad , reading his chalked message on the footpath , we should never judge as we do not know their true story and circumstances . Time for thought of those less fortunate than ourselves amid the merriment of the festive season !
So sad. I think due to Covid, homelessness will rise as jobs disappear. Two more shops in our shopping centre have closed this week and we haven't had as many cases of Covid as you have in the UK. I feel it is going to get a lot worse here before it gets better.
@beryl We have just been watching a programme about floral companies decorating houses for celebrations, honestly Beryl it was obscene spending thousands on fripperies like that when there is so much need in the world!
So sad that some people end up having to live like this, particularly in winter. It certainly makes me so thankful for all I have, especially my home and family.
That seems a bit extreme although I do know we are all going to be worse off financially. I have every sympathy for anyone living on the street - all I can do is a one-off handout, which solves nothing. the world truly has gone mad as far as I am concerned.
Sad to see this isn't it - Nations reputably rich cannot take care of their own . We are not so rich and we are seeing people, though not many, living on the streets, too.
