Our sixth tree we have planted since we moved into our newish house.
Two today but a few of you showed some interest in this tree so thought I would take its photo. Not very clear but it’s six foot tall & has quite a few tightly curled leaves about to burst out.
Not one I have heard of before but it was recommended & it seems to have lots of interesting stages over the year.
Sorry the commenting wasn’t good last night as we had two power cuts so no internet!
Three good things:
1. I’ve painted the airing cupboard again & it’s now ready for the top coat of paint.
2. One of Harrys bowling friends became disorientated during the power cut we had last night & fell over on his face……a night in hospital but no bones broken & home today.
3. Three lots of viewers for the house opposite which went up for sale yesterday.
Looked up this tree Pat , and it looks a certain winner with a mass of white blossom in Spring and other great features as the year goes by ! Sorry to hear of Harry's friend mishap during the power cuts , but pleased no permanent damage done !!
Thanks for posting your amelanchier. I hadn't heard of it either until a friend recommended it. I'm hoping to get one planted before the end of the month
It will be great to see how the tree develops - 10 years or more to get to maturity. We enjoyed watching viewers for our next door house when up for sale but would have liked to vet them! Turned out to be a wonderful couple.
@maggiemae Ha ha I know what you mean maggie! We watched the different ones turn up today every half hour….didn’t like the look of the first ones! Stood outside all three of them smoking! 🤣🤣🤣
