I have lost my everyday pearl earrings.
Have searches all over but no sign of them. Trying to find another pair to wear so I tipped out my box of earrings & paired them up.
I love dangly earrings but sadly they don’t suit me…I think my ears are too low or my face not long enough!!
Of these ones on the worktop I bet I only wear three pairs of them regularly, all stud ones.
Three good things:
1. A lovely memorial service for the late Duke if Edinburgh this morning.
2. I bought a new ironing board. My old one was heavy, wobbly & noisy. I haven’t used an ironing board for year as I had my ironing press when I did B&B but I got rid of that & had to resort to my about 50 year old stand up one. Might look forward to a bit of ironing now!
3. I have discovered a third Amelanchier tree in our garden….@busylady
Oh no! I wonder how they have been lost? I like to change my earrings, but don’t bother now as they don’t get seen properly when you have to wear a mask all the time.
What a lovely selection Pat. You seem to like the pearly ones! Peter bought me a selection of coloured pearl earrings for Christmas and almost straightaway I lost one of the backs. Hope you find yours soon, or at least go through the others and wear a different pair every day!
Thank you for your kind words. I know the earrings are in the house somewhere …..I picked them up & put them down somewhere but where…..they could have rolled off wherever I put them. I do tend to wear my Pearl ones every day but also wear the blue stud ones in the top right when it’s summery…my daughter in law in NZ sent me those. I also wear the Pearl ones on the gold stems which are next to the blue ones plus the Pearl small drop ones in the top centre when its a special occasion.

The fact that you can’t find both I’m hopeful that they are somewhere safe! It’s when you can only find one that there’s a problem! I only tend to a couple of pairs too.
The last time I lost an earring we turned our couch over and guess what..........out fell the earring. One never knows! You have a great assortment of earrings.
A lovely array of earrings Pat -- I have quite a few too , but now they do not look so good on me -- fashion change as well ! So now I always wear my gold hoops and very rarely take them out !! I am sure you will find them when you stop looking Pat !!

Now my question is.... do you have boxes for them, or do you keep them in one place?

I am sure you will find your earrings. It is a nuisance when you put them down and can't remember where. Maybe you put them in the pocket of your trousers or somewhere like that.
I keep most of them in a pot all jumbled up. The ones I use mostly live in a glass dish on my bedside table.
I did think I would sort them out & take the ones I don’t wear to the charity shop with other jewellery out worn but then thought how enjoyable it is to root through someone’s collection after they have died…it gives people a sense of the person I think ….I put them all back in the drawer!
But similarly, I usually wear the little silver owl earrings Dave bought me and I got very panicky when I couldn't find them once - I'd had a brainstorm and put them somewhere odd. They live in my little foxy pot now https://365project.org/boxplayer/365-2022/2022-01-20
At least you have a pair of all the earrings. I keep the one that is not lost on a tray -- just in case I find the other! After several years, I've given up hope but just can't throw them out!
Oh, what a lovely selection! I love earrings. It's not good losing a pair, but worse losing one! I lost one on holiday and was so annoyed. Not an expensive one, but still, very frustrating. I remember a few months ago, I was at the golf club, and came back with only earring. I returned to look, I retraced my steps, I put a picture on FB, and then I gave up. Months later, I found that earring in the front pocket of a handbag. It must have fallen in. Couldn't believe it. That was a great start to the day when I put my hand in and came out with the long-missing earring. Never give up!
I have two large plastic containers in my bedroom, they are full of earings made by my late Sister Mo. I've never looked at them, perhaps I should. FAV
@jamibann Earrings are so easy to lose too. I seem to always either lose one or loose the back bit if I ever try anything on in the changing cubicle….I always feel if they are still there now before I leave the poky place.
Missed this.. Oh you will have to buy a new set of pearl earrings.. can't imagine how in anything else.. I recently cleaned out and sorted my earrings ground a few surprises and wondered where they came from and why did I but them.. always stick to my favorite heart silver studs..
