Just a diary shot as I’ve been at home most of the day, just took Harry in to pick up his car from repair.
I decided this morning was a weeding day. If you had seen this garden when we bought the bungalow you would have see nothing but six foot high brambles. We had a gardening firm come in to tackle the worst if them but you know the roots go all over underground so it’s an on going task to nip them in the bud as they poke through.
I spent all morning weeding the flower bed on the left hand side.I’m quite proud if it as the perennials I planted are looking healthy & filling out. Hard to see from this angle.
I felt quite entitled to spend the afternoon sitting in the garden reading.
Three good things:
1. A heavy dew this morning, helps the grass grow.
2. So busy gardening I missed the library van outside….the books where all ready in the hall. I can take them to the library in Garstang as I’m away next time Glenys comes in three weeks .
3. What’s app chat to my brother & sister who are both going traveling tomorrow. One to Devon & one to France. Us two older ones staying home.
You should be so proud in what you have achieved in such a short period of time ! What a beautiful relaxing looking garden and your lawn is beautiful and green !
Thank you all. I am not a gardener so I’ve surprised myself. I’m not that keen to get in & start work but it’s surprisingly satisfying & I like it when I get going!
Wow how beautifully green your lawn is! You must have had more rain than us in East Midlands where everything is dry and wilted! You deserved a rest after your gardening!

Quite agree about the brambles. I never did get to grips with them on the allotment!
