Our grandson Finn was 9 last week……well not really until the 19th December but he has a Second birthday in October as his is so near Christmas! It’s hard remembering I can tell you!
Anyway he had a party for four of his friends…one missing here.
The water in the background will be Lake Taupo & the snow capped one in the distance Mount Ruapehu which is an active volcano in the centre of North Island, New Zealand.
Finn was seven when we saw him last….growing up without us! 😨
Birthday boy on the right! He’s grow a bit since you & @dide looked after him for a while @julzmaioro.
Three good things:
1. Photos from afar! So good to see these arrive this afternoon!
2. A walk this afternoon when the rain eased off.
3. No reactions from our double flu & covid jab. Slightly sore arms but we can cope with that!
A lovely photo of Finn with his mates. Hopefully you’ll get to see him real soon. Yes - it has been fun seeing his progress over the years. @quietpurplehaze never too late to suggest you celebrate your birthday twice!
He is growing fast isn't he. Good idea to have an extra birthday. David's brother's birthday is on the 24 December, so he always used to miss out when he was young on a separate birthday and Christmas.
Mine is the 22nd December & I’ve never had a second birthday either, but what a great idea! After all, the Queen had two! 😉
Nice shot of the boys enjoying themselves!
What a wonderful scenic view and the lads are enjoying the outdoors on Finn's birthday! ( to add to the rest! )- my birthday is also in Dec. -5th, and always wished that my birthday was in the summer! - but never had a 2nd birthday!!
Gracious me so many of you with December birthdays….you must all feel the same sometimes about being far too near Christmas!
You all need second birthdays! Never too late to suggest!
Great place for boys adventures..
I don't have any 'regal ambition'!
