My DIL sent me this photo this morning from NZ.
Our great granddaughter is worn out with supervising dad scanning the heifers.
Nina seems to be able to take a nap anywhere she fancies!
She’s a great little farmer & loves her outdoor life.
Feeling so sorry for the farmers in North Island who are milking their cows under tremendous hardship after the cyclone. Flooding & no power, I can just imagine how hard it is.
I loved this photo when it came through this morning. Lesley sends a photo or two every day, it helps us keep in touch with Nina’s development even though we have never met her yet.
Thank you for all your lovely comments! X
Beautiful. An amazing life growing up so closely involved with the work her family do and able to find a quiet corner to sleep.
Dreadful situation for north islanders these last few days and for some time to come.
What a sweet photo.. typical farmer kid..
Thank you for your kind thoughts, there has been some horrific stories. My niece works for a vet and she was having to go to to a neighboring town to get a ute load of 'dry cows as farms are so flooded and can't use the cowshed with no power.. so it's going to be a tough season.
It’s a great photo isn’t it….I can say that as I didn’t take it! Thank you for all your lovely comments on our special girl.
Talked to Ant this morning & he’s been showing us photos of all the trees snapped off, acres & acres of your lovely woods gone plus of course terrible stories of floods & hardship……Jacinda will be so glad she’s not in charge! 😀
