There are a number of caravan parks near us & these large park homes have been delivered a good few times over the last year.
Normally they have to manoeuvre the narrow lane down to the river but this one was destined fir the park next to Great Eccleston.
I happened to be walking the other morning & watched this very large van being put into place by a very skilled team.
It had to be pulled by a winch along some planks off the trailer, hooked up to the tow bar at the front of the Land-rover then backed across the main road into place.
I was very impressed & it was all done in 20 minutes.
You can see the horrid pot holes on our smaller road, the council have out white rings round the ones of a certain depth but no sign of any one coming to fix them……our roads are truly atrocious!
Wow they certainly knew what they were doing a cool shot of the job in hand .
Your roads sound like ours but a great idea to paint around hole so many here have damaged their vehicles and now are putting in claims against the Transport agency!!
Must have been quite nerve wracking for the owners and the movers watching this being put in place.
Our roads are atrocious at the moment too. All the rain we have had over the last couple of years have played havoc with them. The Council just fill in the holes temporarily after each downpour, but they do need fixing properly.
Hmm interesting to hear about other roads in other countries!we are not the only one it seems but can’t tkink any will be as bad as ours…neglect for years! The holes have to be a certain depth before they even think if repairing….I just wish I had the same white marker they use I would be out ringing them all.
Thank you all fir your comments!
Wow that's a feat. The potholes are bad here too - it's all the freezing and wet and what-have-you - but it's shocking they've been left for years there.
