Looking for something different to photo this morning so just took a quick shot of these pine cones. I have forgotten the name of the tree( Harry will know but he is out) We put labels on all our trees when we planted them but this one must have fallen off . Harry has just said it is an Alder !
I was struggling for photos this morning but have had a sort of flurry of opportunities as the day has gone on so will save the others !! That's how it goes sometimes doesn't it ?
Yup . . that's exactly how it goes sometimes, Pat. I can get a half dozen photos at once that I like. Or I can spend all day hunting and nothing turns up.. Love this photo of yours. Must admit that I have never seen this kind of cone before. (Or maybe never looked close enough!) It's a beauty. Wonderful dof.
Pat, i like your description of a 'flurry of pictures' later in the day...it does happen like that sometimes :)..and it's very pleasing when it does ...these look like blackberry fossils !!
