An emotional day for many football fans today as their teams either go up or down the Premiership.
I have just seen the last couple of extraordinary moments of the Manchester City game where they won their match in the last couple of minutes to win the Championship !
So many fans on the pitch at the end , Harry was very excited for them !
Commiserations to Bolton Wanderers foiled at the last minute, thinking of you @phil_howcroft.
It is a very tense time for football fans. You feel for them all. We still have a way to go. We are great supporters of Stevenage who have done so well In the last two years. Our fingers are crossed for tomorrow.
I was on 365 but heard the commotion from the other room! And they are supposed to be revising... Poor @phil_howcroft - but at least they might win some games next season!
Today was a sad day for English Football....it was not won but bought,by the price of Oil....They could not even win it out right...extra time and goal difference..but hey ho life is...have a good week..and in answer to your question the pub shot was taken early morning far to early for Chardonnay perhaps...
@tsingtao I agree that too much money buys teams & the goal posts are different for every club but that's the way of the world now a days...just be thankful if your team is owned by big money !! Far too much money paid in wages compared to what Tom Finney used to receive a week !!! Perhaps......
In all honesty we were as good as down in November, we were not good enough. I could have a big rant. We were badly managed by our manager and coaching staff, two key players out all season, a treatment room that was always 'full'...but at the end of the day (to quote a football cliché we were a pale shadow of the team that played in europe only a few years ago.
You are spot on though Judith, we might win a few games next season, clear out the 'dead wood'...oh and a few local matches too...Forest , Derby and Leicester :) ...I've recovered already ...roll on August !!!
@phil_howcroft That's it Phil keep your spirit up & perhaps better to be top of a division than always struggling at the bottom !!!
Now will be thinking of Blackpools big game next Saturday at Wembley!!!
@phil_howcroft@happypat Something to be said for a lower division occasionally... But it's time for Blackpool to go up again - there are some great photos of my Blackpool relatives going through the full gamut of emotions on my cousin's FB site - they made my day lady time!
Pat Judith thanks for your kind words.
