Rosie. by happypat

Rosie.

This is our lovely very generous present from Brian & Lesley in New Zealand.
Her name is Rosie & she is a limited edition, numbered piece from John Ditchfields special collection.
She is very suitable as we have spent our whole lives dairy farming so cows are very close to our hearts.

It is a lovely present & we are really pleased with it. We will ring up tonight & thank them.

Three good things...
1. A lovely family who are so caring & generous.
2. A full B&B tonight so a nice bit of spends in the drawer.
3.Have been to visit Dorothy , our new neighbour & she is lovely.
Adorable! You won't have to get up early to milk this one!

Love this!! What a perfect gift for you and Harry! Rosie is simply wonderful!! I take it from some of the comments that this is an anniversary gift...but I'm not believing it's #50 ~ that's just not possible. Happy, happy anniversary to you and Harry!!

She's gorgeous Pat! And even more special that you got to go and collect her from the man himself. And three lovely positives. I've failed on mine - we went to see Nigel's mum in hospital yesterday. Advanced dementia and she broke her hip, had a replacement that won't stay in the socket and now they are join got remove it and she won't have a hip at all. She looks really old but keeps smiling or sleeping - doesn't talk at all now and she's only 73. All quite depressing and I tried to find some positives but couldn't think of any. Sorry I'm unloading on your site - didn't want to do it on mine because lots of 'silent followers' read it.

@judithg I understand completely & it's sometimes good to tell people things you can't say to those close to you...as you know I have done it myself! Not easy seeing Nigels mum like that , you would not want to be so incapacitated at the age of 73, very depressing but a relief in a way that she doesn't quite know what is going on. Just shows you have to grasp life with both hands & cram as much in as possible. Will be so sad for Nigel seeing his dear mum like that. Life is cruel to some who do not deserve it!!!

@happypat Thanks Pat - yes - it's a blessing because not only does she not know she has generally been quite happy through the illness which isn't always the case for 'normal' Alzheimer's. She would have been devastated if she'd known what was to come though and it's hard for Nigel and Rachel seeing it and wondering if it's in the genes.
