One of the two identical..to me.. cats I am looking after at the moment.
Both long haired of a certain breed called 'Rag Doll cats' they are very soft & always pleased to see me but one of them as been AWOL a since yesterday morning!
He didn't come home on Wednesday night but was there in the morning but no sign either last night or this morning.
It was cold so I felt sure he would be around this morning but that's cats I suppose!!
I will really be worried if he doesn't come back tonight!!!
Oh thats so worrying I hate looking after friends pets, oh the responsibilty, fingers crossed....just read the above..phew sighs of relief!! Panic over! Did your guests turn up? Mine who were due to arrive at 2pm yesterday arrievd at 12, you're early I'm afraid the room is not quite ready yet, thats ok we just need to use the loo.......bloody hell I'm a public convenience now...appalling behaviour!
Oh phew!! I am cat feeding this week and one of them likes to cross the road which will eventually go wrong. I looked after another neighbour's once and one got run over. I was shouting for it out of the back door and it staggered oi from under the kitchen table. Luckily it had a dislocated hip which was fairly easy to fix and we looked after him in our spare room. If the vet had said he was going to cost £2000 (which she said it might be) I would have been really stuck not knowing what to do! Maybe somebody else is letting this one in while its owners are away.
@fannyb No show Fanny !!!! I wouldn't care that much but we had the heating on all afternoon as they said they were arriving mid afternoon. I had his phone number so rang up at 7.30 pm as I didn't want them coming in for the first time after the boxing. He said oh sorry I meant to ring you ...I kept my cool & just said I would have appreciated a phone call!! I always say when they book if their circumstances change as they sometimes do would they mind ringing & that is what happens sometimes & I don't mind in the least. Not bothered I am in my PJ's & a quiet night before the onslaught of half term starting tomorrow!!!! The last fortnight of the illuminations. B&B is usually from 4pm so naughty to arrive that early , good to have a grumble isn't it ...all these folks reading this will think ' they are a bad tempered pair, we shan't go & stay at their places!!!!'
@judithg That sounds like a nightmare Judith, what a great responsibility we have but musn't grumble as someone has to look after our dog & cat for 5 whole weeks!!! There used to be three cats where I am looking after at the moment but one had a very unfortunate accident with the tumble dryer a few weeks ago!!! They do get in some weird places!!
I can't imagine. It being grumpy all the time if I had a b and b.re the cat..glad he returned. While we were on a trip a few weeks ago, the housing tear called t say one of the cats was missing and that there'd been 2 coyotes under the deck that morning. Yikes!thNkfully she showed up the next day
