Last visit of the Library van

I just realised the theme this week is books. As I have just taken a last picture of Janet who comes round with the library van....she is taking early retirement...thought I may as well post this as an extra.
You can see my book bag on the floor, a cup of coffee she gets & also the view down our lane through the door on the left.

Tui will miss Janet as she always gets a biscuit!!!!

I like how the books are all slanted from the bumps and winding road corners from the trip to get there, to your village. In a way, it makes discovering an elusive book you didn't expect to see, seem even more of a treasured find. I also like that even in a mobile library, there the opportunity for a mug of tea.

This shot holds memories of visiting my Great Aunt when I was a little girl. She had no children of her own and the highlight of my stay was when the library van came.
