This reminded me of the story in Grimms Fairy Tales of the trail left by Hansel & Gretel to lead them back home.
Some wheat escaped from the trailer last night all over the road...neighbours were wondering if they would have an explosion of weeds next Spring.
On the right you can see the council sweeper come to clean up. This photo is taken from the main road looking down towards our house...you can see Tui in the road...she daren't come any nearer the traffic than that after once getting knock down by a car.
The sweeper seems to be doing a good job! I bet some will have escaped and will grow at the side of the road but any still left on the road will be just turned into flour!
Too bad that happened though I can't believe anyone was upset about it. It is farm country after all and accidents do happen!
