I had coffee today in this lovely house in the Lune Valley.
Built in 1849 it was once three cottages , one up one down.
Restored into one house by my friends daughter & her husband it was lovely & cosy inside.
Surrounded by fields & woods yet only a few miles from Lancaster it was a quiet haven for them & their three dogs.
@happypat ooh good - hope you squeeze some in - just been looking at the local property magazine - I need about £3.5 million for any of the ones I like. Nigel says I'll have to be content with the new shed.
I wish that was my house! But then, that is a lot of house to keep clean.
But - I suppose that if I could afford that house I could afford a maid or two as well.
Very nice picture - so well composed/
@farmreporter thank you Wendy....it isn't that big actually...three bedrooms, big extended kitchen & three other rooms downstairs plus bathrooms & utility....the rooms are pretty small too.
@jewelofapplegarth lots of stone houses like this in the UK Jewel......different shades of local stone in every county! Brick & stone are the main means of building house here.......thanks for your interest.
