This is Lake Windermere as seen from the top of Orrest Head in Windermere.
It was not a good day for a great view of the lake as you can see but as I have posted a few photos of the track up to here I thought you might like to see the result.
You can see the town of Bo'ness which is on the lake shore.
Wow what do I know....I was so disappointed in this view at the top that I only posted this to show how high up it was on the very top....you like it!! I am so pleased, many thanks for taking time out to comment & fave this shot!

Lovely capture Pat looks great in B&W. Poor Harry. I think my husband is dropping to bits as well. We need to go to Cheltenham next week so I suggested Mon. No he has a doctor's app. Tues No he has a hospital app. Oh well perhaps Wed! Hope Harry's face is on the mend it must be very sore.
Stunning Pat and well captured Love the sun rays escaping from behind the clouds giving you a hazy view and silvery sheen on the water ! So Harry is being topped and tailed ,so to speak !! I hope the face is getting better and the knee will be sorted out -- these things take their time don't they ! --good luck !
Lovely silvery look at the lake and interesting to see Bo'ness - looks quite a big town. The lake is long and has wonderful islands in it that might have featured in a book or two! Poor Harry - who just wants to stay at home and now has to go out to so many places!
That is an amazing view! Well worth the hike to the top! The sky is absolutely magnificent...love beams of light turn the lake silver. Just gorgeous, Pat!
