The Winter Garden by happypat

The Winter Garden

The Winter Garden in Sheffield town centre is the largest temperate glasshouse built in the UK in the last 100 years & the largest urban one in Europe.
It was opened by the Queen in May 2003.
Over 200 plants which are changed five times a year have frost protection of 4 deg managed by an intelligent building system.

It was a very beautiful building to walk through, I was very impressed.
A lovely capture Pat of a fantastic place -- it must be wonderful to walk through this place !

Looks a heavenly place to wander and sit down with a cup of coffee! Never heard of this glasshouse - know there is one at the Crystal Palace or somewhere!
