A motley crew

Thought you might like to see our gang of walkers today.

All present here except the photographer.

Everyone on on this photo is either a farmers daughter or married to a farmer except for Amy from Switzerland who was taking the photograph.

We were pretty chilly by the time this was taken about a mile & a half from the finish.

It must take you half an hour to get dressed for these walks! But once dressed, a great new adventure! I don't think I could walk in gum boots but they might have been a good choice!

Like the cast of the Archers sitting there! I think walking in wellies effectively adds a mile to your walk - bit like walking on sand!

@judithg You are so right Judith. I had my walking boots on but took my wellies with me as my boots leak. As we were walking over fields most of us put our wellies on but it's like dragging an extra five pounds around with you.

@maggiemae Yes a last minute choice as the fields were so wet & my walking boots leak. Not half as nippy as walking boots I agree!

What a fabulous motley crew. I remember having to wear so many clothes in winter in the UK. It used to take ages to get dressed in a morning. I remember our first winter back there after Cyprus and I looked like the Michelin man for most of the winter.
