Pop up turkey timer

Just posting this in extras for all of you that have asked about the turkey timer.
It’s a brilliant help cooking large birds that you aren’t used to specially the responsibility for other people’s Christmas dinner!
I recommend them...£3.50
Sainsbury’s have them a,though the smaller one in Garstang did not. I got this from our local garden centre , it has a fab cook shop.

@beryl
Well I never !! I have not heard of this gadget ! Useful if you have a large bird , but with my small turkey I think I can manage without ! Yes I have changed my mind again I was going to have a duck but then realised I would miss the extra meals and pickings we get out of a turkey ! ( a creature of habit and traditions) ! ha ha !

A handy device indeed! Not one that I will be needing - we are having bbq venison steak and ham for Christmas lunch, then roast lamb for dinner. Not a turkey in sight in our house!

I am sure your gadget will be a great help.

Excellent if you have a large bird. We tend to buy the smaller portions from good old M&S as there are only 3 of us. Christmas Eve is a vegetarian meal for familyl. I do love cooking!

@casablanca Wasn’t quite sure how long to cook a crown last year so this was invaluable, you can so easily just think another ten minutes & next thing it’s dried out a bit.
