Hoya 'Royal Hawaiian Purple' is called 'Wax Flower' due to it's waxy green leaves and waxy flowers that resemble cake ornaments, one fragrant star sitting on top of another. The large leaves are pointed, new growth deep maroon and many leaves maintaining the maroon color in bright light. The fragrant flowers are a reddish purple. This twining climber is best kept potted and rootbound to promote flowering. Makes a great hanging basket or potted with a small trellis. Heavily scented. I love this plant .")
