Burning Off !

I haven’t had much success photographing fire. I was happy with this so it became my shot for today...Thank you all so much for helping put Apricot Splendour on PP & TP...
So glad that this is a controlled burn off and not an actual bushfire.

@pennystot Yes, Penelope, this is a 'controlled burn', which is done in the cooler months to reduce fuel build-up....

@thresheg Thank you Graham & for the Fav....Prescribed burning reduces the amount of ground vegetation during cooler months to decrease risk of bushfires that could cause greater damage later in the season.

Prescribed burning also helps to maintain biodiversity and assists with vegetation management.
