@30pics4jackiesdiamond ......... .....In Australia, flying-foxes are the bats people are more familiar with because of their large size,& tendency to roost in large camps, often in proximity to people. Flying- foxes feed mainly on nectar, blossom and native fruits .Flying foxes are bats that do not use echolocation, have large eyes & are also known as fruit bats & are the largest members of the bat family. Their wingspan can reach 1 M..or 3ft..3 inches. They are Very Messy!!

Like Kathy I can imagine the smell too. Every time we go to Raymond Terrace we see thousands of bats in the bushland and the smell is awful. Right next to McDonalds too, combination of bat poo and McDonalds is overpowering ha ha
