Magpie Season. by happysnaps

Magpie Season.

Magpies are protecting their young….During this season… You don't see it coming, and the sound of rushing wings close to your head is usually the first indication you've come under magpie attack. You can wear a helmet like in this photo, you can try wearing your sunglasses on the back of your head, or drawing or sewing eyes onto the back of a hat.
Mail deliverers are under constant attack & wear helmets, goggles & flaps to cover the back of their necks. Described as one of Australia's most accomplished songbirds, the Australian magpie has an array of complex vocalisations. I have been attacked but, I also would protect my child fro harm!
Wow fabulous timing. That is one determined magpie.

Haha, great timing Valerie, believe me the zip ties on the helmet DO NOT WORK, I speak from experience :))) At least the nasty plovers give a war cry before attack :)
