Today is Groundhog Day, and in honour of the very enjoyable Bill Murray film, (but not necessarily Punxsutawney Phil and his colleagues), I thought a time theme might be appropriate.
This is my attempt at showing time repeating over and over again. I originally tried to do this using mirrors to repeat a clock, but I managed to get myhand, face or camera lens repeated rather more often than the clock, I kept running into depth of field problems, and I struggled to control the background. So after several rather poor attempts I resorted to using a cheap webcam and a monitor. This is much nearer to what I was after. I couldn't quite get the colour balance right and ran into pixelation problems due to the web cam resoltion, but decided that 365 project referred to 1 photo a day for 365 days, and not 1 photo that took 365 days to produce so settled on this one. It kind of works.
Incidentally, Phil today predicted 6 more weeks of winter for our American neighbors, whilst just about every other groundhog predicted an early spring. Hmmmm. I think I would rather put my faith in John Kettley and his more scientific shadow.
Thanks. Sorry though... it was not Half Man Half Biscuit. It was by one hit wonders Tribe of Toffs.
The only winner is photography :-)
