This is the second swarm to turn up at Mum and Dad's house in a fortnight. I think this one may be a cast swarm.
We cut away part of their ceiling this evening to see if there was anything in there that kept attracting them back, and we found a load of wild comb with honey in, (but no brood) and a load more bees. We cleared it all out and put them into a spare box, and left it over night. Unfortunately they absconded and ended up hanging from a tree in the neighbours garden and we had to come back and collected them again the following night. At least it seems like clearing out the roof space did the trick as they did not try to get back in.
Anyway, they are now safely housed in a nucleus hive, and seem to be settling in.
