This evening I took Ben and Sam back to school to see a show by the Pearl of Africa Choir. They are a group of children from Uganda who come to the UK every year to raise funds for a small charity, www.pearlofafrica.org.uk. During the day they ran a workshop in the school, and this evening they sang, and danced and drummed and were very good indeed.
I took my camera along, but, bizarrely, was too shy to drag out a huge SLR when everyone else was unselfconsciously snapping away and videoing with mobile phones.
Here instead are some African drums from Zambia that sit on a shelf at home.
