For some time we have been looking for a unit to house the stereo in the lounge, but nothing seems to fit the bill. We have decided to consider making something ourselves, so today I did an outline plan to get some sizes down. I would quite like to make it feel a bit more '1930s' in keeping with the house style. Now to source some quantities of oak to start cutting!
well if you have the skills to make this, you will get something so much better than you can buy today - and it won't be stapled together like a lot of furniture is these days
@ruthhowell Ah - now that is the question. It will all be properly jointed, and fortunately my dad is better at woodworking than I am, so it should be OK.
