Doodle a day #61: I tried to get a wheel off my car today, to investigate a knocking sound. The normal wheel nuts came off ok, but the lock nut would not budge. I think the last person to remove it, probably a tyre place, had over tightened it. I ended up damaging the special socket, making it useless, and the wheels impossible to remove!
This was, of course, followed by several visits to garages to get it sorted, and I now have four fully removable wheels.
I am still no wiser as to what the offending noise is.
