Feeding birds in winter

There are grain vending machines installed in our parks. The point is't to feed the birds with bread. A bad diet causes a serious disease called "Angel wing". These girls brought sunflower seeds with them.

Gosh it does looks so darned cold there Haskar. We never get snow where I live, thank goodness. Those pigeons are much more privileged in Poland than they'd be here where most signs read 'Do Not Feed the Birds'.

This is such a charming scene! It's reminiscent of some Victorian paintings of snow scenes too; there's a lovely feeling of timelessness to it.
