Handmade straw products

Very nice products. They are made of rye straw. The rye is mowed by hand and the ears are cut. After cleaning and drying, the straws are boiled for several hours. Once they are flexible, various ornaments are woven from them. After drying, they harden and are ready!
What beautiful, intricate art. Your photo of it is lovely.

I've seen decorations, like the ones on the lower left, for sale other places. This must have been a terrific market for traditional crafts.
