No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace
as I have seen in one autumnal face
- John Donne
The leaves are starting to do their thing here in New England. I found this fellow lying in the road on the way back from the bus stop. You don't see many with this kind of color pattern (at least I don't) and I love how the veins of the leaf remained green. Fall is my favorite time of year. With the crisp cool air and all the beautiful colors - I can *almost* forget that Winter is coming right behind...
I re-uploaded this because I noticed the colors are not as vibrant in this shot as the picture on my computer. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Is there anything that can be done?
I've heard the expression, "One perfect rose", but you could equally say the same about this "One perfect leaf"! As representative of the change of seasons, it's just perfect!
